We want everyone who visits the North Lodge on Oakland Bed & Breakfast website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding. It’s important to us that our website is accessible and easy to use for all persons with disabilities.
The following provides our current status regarding the accessibility of our web content and physical location.
WHAT ARE WE DOING?
To help us make the North Lodge on Oakland website a positive place for everyone, we’ve been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and user-friendly for everyone.
HOW ARE WE DOING?
We’re working hard to achieve our goal of Level AA accessibility, but we realize some areas still need improving.
North Lodge on Oakland is in the process of facilitating the accessibility and usability of its website, NorthLodge.com, for all people with disabilities. We will be implementing over time the relevant portions of the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 Level AA (WCAG 2.1 AA) as its web accessibility standard or other standards to the extent required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (‘ADA”).
Please be aware that our efforts are ongoing. If, at any time, you have specific questions or concerns about the accessibility of any particular webpage on https://northlodge.com/, please contact us by email. If you do encounter an accessibility issue, please be sure to specify the webpage in your email, and we will make all reasonable efforts to make that page accessible for you. You may also contact us via telephone at 828-252-6433. We will make every possible effort to answer your questions and concerns.
ACCESSIBILITY TO OUR PHYSICAL LOCATION
North Lodge on Oakland is not wheelchair accessible or ADA compliant and is not required at this time to provide accessibility. Since our home was built in 1904, there are limited facilities regarding handicapped accessibility. We are sorry we cannot accommodate all visitors due to the architecture of our home. Our home has a total of four levels and there is no elevator. Some guests with mobility issues may find accessibility a challenge. Please count on us to gladly assist you with your bags.
