The amazing and entrancing glass art of Dale Chihuly is coming to Biltmore this summer during the Asheville Summer of Glass. The Chihuly at Biltmore exhibition kicks things off with a 5-month long display of his works opening May 17th, 2018.
Asheville’s Summer of Glass is bringing a variety of special events and exhibitions to the Asheville area, with Chihuly at Biltmore as the centerpiece.
Dale Chihuly is known for his creative and monumental glass sculptures. His entrancing works utilize light, space, and form to create immersive, site-specific displays. The artist’s work can be found in public and private collections and installations around the world.
Chihuly at Biltmore is a new and expansive exhibition placed in and around the Biltmore House, gardens, and grounds. This is Chihuly’s first Bilmore exhibition – and that’s not the only first!
The exhibition includes the first-ever evening experience in Biltmore Gardens! Seeing Chihuly’s incredible, large-scale sculptures by light of day is one thing. Viewing them lit in the Biltmore Gardens at night should prove positively otherworldly!
Chihuly Nights at Biltmore, are open Thursdays through Sundays during the exhibit’s run and include both live music and a wine bar. While regular, daytime admission to Biltmore includes access to the Chihuly exhibit, Chihuly Nights at Biltmore require a separate reservation.
