Asheville Memorial Day Weekend Events

May 9th, 2015 by Corey A. Edwards

Asheville Memorial Day Weekend EventsMemorial Day Weekend may not be the official start of summer but it sure feels like it with all the great Asheville Memorial Day Weekend Events that are planned!

Memorial Day, always observed the last Monday in May, is an important day in which to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country while serving in the armed forces.

The four-day weekend many of us enjoy because of this holiday is often spent getting out and about in celebration of the liberty afforded us by these valiant men and women. As one of the first very active, warm weekends of the year, it often almost seems like the first weekend of summer, even though that’s another full month away!

An Asheville Memorial Day Weekend is no exception – if anything, the amount of events and activities scheduled for the Asheville area on Memorial Day Weekend is more busy than most! Don’t believe me? Take a look!
