Saturday Night Lights at Tryon International Equestrian CenterVisit Tryon International Equestrian Center for their Saturday Night Lights event for food, fun, live music, and an evening of highest level of competitive horse jumping!

Tryon International Equestrian Center opened in 2014 and has been bringing the country’s most talented riders and horses to the Asheville area ever since. A 6,000-seat outdoor stadium, stables, arenas, restaurants and shops have helped make the center a world-class equestrian destination.

The best part is that it gives visitors the opportunity to watch Olympic caliber riders and horses compete for international titles at various events, such as the popular Saturday Night Lights.

Saturday Night Lights is a Grand Prix show jumping event, held on select Saturday nights. During the event riders compete on a course with jumps that are almost 5 feet in height, just below those of the Olympics. Success on the first course means a place in the shorter course jump-off. Winners take the largest share of the over $100,000 prize money. Exciting!

Saturday Night Lights also features free entertainment, Venetian carousel rides, and a variety of dining options. The gates open at 6pm and the grand prix competition begins at 8. Saturday Night Lights events run during the spring, summer and fall. The current schedule lists Saturday Night Lights on September 17th and 24th, as well as October 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and the 29th.

Admission to the Tryon International Equestrian Center is free and there is no assigned seating. Come watch the shows from whichever vantage point you choose: stadium seating or tables! Pick your favorite spot for a comfortable, close-up view of the action!
