April 13th, 2015 by Corey A. Edwards

2015 Spring LEAF FestivalThe upcoming 2015 Spring LEAF Festival, scheduled for May 7th through the 10th, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with a lineup of performers you’d be crazy to miss.

LEAF, which stands for Lake Eden Arts Festival, is a bi-annual event held just outside of Asheville, NC celebrating international music, dance, and diversity. The 2015 Spring LEAF Festival will feature not only music on three stages, dance parties, and multi-cultural art but also local craft brews, healing artists, food from local restaurants and vendors, lakeside activities, a kids village, and so much more!

The Juried Art Fair displays works of more than 40 artisans offering contemporary and folk art, clothing, jewelry, musical instruments and more while the Healing Arts Area offers myriad ways to soothe what ails you with natural and healthy approaches to soothing both the body and the mind. Other attractions include exhibitions, installations, and interactive demonstrations; hiking, picnicing, and playing in Lake Eden.

Primarily, though, the 2015 Spring LEAF Festival is music! Music of all kinds – you’ll hear African music, Zydeco, Latin, Appalachian, Cajun, Blues, Celtic, and Bluegrass as well have the chance to dance Salsa, Swing, the Waltz and various forms of Contra. Headliners for the 2015 Spring LEAF Festival are Xavier Rudd & the United Nations, Bombino, and Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires – take a look at the full lineup:
