Every year the Biltmore Estate hosts a series of high profile concerts featuring some of the biggest names in music today. Hosted on the southern terrace of “America’s Largest Home,” this unique venue offers a chance to see your favorite artists perform under a canopy of stars with the stunning Blue Ridge Mountain sunset as a backdrop.
This year’s festivities start on July 30th with a mix of Grammy Award Winners and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers:
Wednesday, July 30 – ZZ Top
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, ZZ Top is the longest running – 40 years! – major rock band with all the original personnel still involved. Their biggest hits include “Sharp Dressed Man,” “Gimme All Your Lovin’” and “Legs.”
Thursday, July 31 – Steely Dan
Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, Steely Dan, produced hits like “Reelin’ in the Years,” “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number,” and “Hey Nineteen” that defined the ’70s and continue to thrill audiences to this day.
Friday, Aug. 15 – Three Dog Night and 38 Special
Known for songs like “Mama Told Me (Not To Come),” “Joy to the World,” and “Black and White,” Three Dog Night had more top 10 hits in the early 70’s than anyone else and still pack the house. 38 Special’s brand of Southern arena rock hits – songs like “Hold On Loosely,” “Rockin’ Into the Night,” and “Caught Up in You” – continue to rock stadiums in over 100 cities every year.
Thursday, Aug. 21 – Steven Curtis Chapman and Third Day
One of the most awarded artists in Christian music, Steven Curtis Chapman has garnered 5 Grammy’s, 57 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, 47 No. 1 singles, and is quickly approaching 11 million albums sold. Georgia-based Third Day continues to inspire the faithful with such hits as “Show Me Your Glory,” “I Believe,” and “Mountain of God.”
Saturday, Aug. 23 – Boston
With more than 17 million copies sold, Boston’s hits continue to receive heavy airplay and pack stadiums with fans eager to hear their signature songs like “More Than a Feeling,” “Peace of Mind,” and “Smokin'” – all rock staples that are still in heavy rotation today.
Thursday, Aug. 28 – Lyle Lovett and His Large Band and Emmylou Harris
Multi-talented performer Lyle Lovett has a gift for storytelling, folding country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel, and blues into a highly original and award winning sound. With a 40-year career, 13 Grammys, induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008, and a Billboard Century Award, Emmylou Harris is an icon in the country music world with more than 25 albums to her credit and countless contributions to other artists.
